Several artists & fiber artists are having a reception to launch their new book, Jewish Threads, a book on Jewish fabric crafts. Local Fiber Artists and collectors might appreciate the show and sale.

Liz Copeland in 14th Annual Lines into Shapes show

The 14th annual Lines into Shapes Art Competition and Sale opened October 29th at The Art Center of Estes Park in Colorado. The show runs through November 14, and pieces can be seen online at this link. Liz Copeland's Quantum Lake (shown below) was entered in the Fiber category.

Diane Chaudiere at LaConner during Arts Alive

Diane Chaudiere has been selected as the featured artist at the La Conner Quilt and Textile Museum during this year’s Art’s Alive! 2010, in La Conner, WA. Her work will be on display and for sale during the 3-day arts festival, November 5, 6 and 7.

Kurjan & Remick at LaConner Quilt & Textile Museum

Janet Kurjan and Helen Remick, both SAQA members, have a show entitled Double Take at the LaConner Quilt & Textile Museum, September 29 through December 31. The Opening Reception is Saturday, October 2, 1-3 pm. SAQA members are particularly welcome to come for the reception. Remick's piece, Pinwheel Evolution, and Kurjan's Festivities are pictured below.

High Fiber Diet at the White Sturgeon Art Gallery

Bird's Eye View, an exhibit by High Fiber Diet, includes the work of Washington SAQA members Bonnie Bucknam and Mary Arnold. The exhibit is on display at the White Sturgeon Art Gallery at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 SE Columbia Way in Vancouver, Washington, July 10 through August 28, 2010. Local Artist Bonnie Bucknam has show in Germany

Bonnie Bucknam has work juried into "Color Improvisations", an invitational exhibition curated by Nancy Crow. The exhibition of 26 artists will show at the Haus Der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart, Germany, July 11 through August 25, 2010. Additional venues will include Galerie Lac in St. Marie aux Mines, France, September 16 - 19, 2010, and the Kunst und Gewerbe (Museum of Art and Commerce), Regierungsprasidium Karlsruhe, Germany, May 8 - June 12, 2011.
